There is still no certainty about the future of Bayern Munich’s veteran Arjen Robben. When it comes to his former national team colleague Khalid Boulahrouz, the winger is to remain with the German record champions.

“I do not think he should go back to the Netherlands by now”, said former Dutch defender to “Goal” and added: “I have the impression that he feels at home in Munich, so why should he now the club change if he feels so good? ”

The two professionals played together between 2004 and 2012 in the “Elftal”. “He’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with, he’s fantastic,” the 36-year-old praised. In addition, Robben still make a physically strong impression. Boulahrouz sees no reason why the far right should not play a few more years at the highest level.

“If he continues, I advise him to extend Bayern Munich, which is one of the best clubs in the world and Robben enjoys a high reputation there.” The whereabouts in the Bavarian state capital was in his eyes the best choice.

Prerequisite, however, is that Robbens body play along. Boulahrouz warns ahead of time, “When you’re tired and can not continue, even if you do not want to stop, then you have to listen to your body.” The former professional, who defended for Hamburger SV, VfB Stuttgart and Chelsea, ended his career in 2016.
